The Introduction of the 2018 John Moores Painting Prize (China)

Abiding by the selection mechanism and principle of openness, fairness and just, the 2018 John Moores Painting Prize (China) aims to recognize excellent Chinese painters and introduce them to the Liverpool Biennale to present their artworks along with British award-winning artists.
The jury comprises Michael Raedecker, Elizabeth Magill and Jonathan Watkins from the UK, and Mao Yan and Ye Yongqing from China.
It is the 60th anniversary of the year when John Moores was first established in the UK. The prize will continue to provide creative modes for the contemporary art exchange between China and the UK, and new examples and documents for the academic research of contemporary art.
